Season leaders cover every match

Season leaders come from the provider's season figures, which cover every match of the season, not only the tracked ones. They count games of 60 minutes or more, and a player needs 5 such games to be ranked.

Per tracked minute

Running from the tracked matches is counted per tracked minute: TV replays and close-ups leave about a quarter of every match without tracking, so match totals would undercount.

Speed bands

Running is 15–20 km/h, high-speed running 20–25 km/h and sprinting above 25 km/h, as the provider defines them. Top speed is the provider's PSV-99 for the season; in a tracked match it must be held for a full second while the player is on camera.

Sprinting

A sprint is a run over 25 km/h held for at least 0.7 seconds. All measures come from the tracked matches. Totals (sprints, sprint km) add up every appearance, however short; a club's total is its players' added up. The rates, sprints per 90 tracked minutes and sprinting time out of all tracked time, need 200 tracked minutes to be ranked. For the rates, appearances shorter than the chosen minutes played per game (45 by default) are left out, because fresh subs run harder per minute than starters.

Walking

Walking is any moment under 9 km/h (2.5 m/s), the provider's line for standing or walking pace; jogging is 9–15 km/h. A player's walking share is their walking time out of all their tracked time across the tracked matches, and only tracked time counts: moments with no tracking are not guessed. Off-camera positions estimated by the provider are used as given. A player needs 200 tracked minutes to be ranked. Appearances shorter than the chosen minutes played per game (45 by default) are left out, because fresh subs run harder per minute than starters. Goalkeepers walk almost the whole match, so they start excluded; a tick brings them back.

Top speed

A player's top speed is the fastest they held for a full second in any tracked match, counted only while they are on camera, so estimated positions can't create false peaks. A player needs 200 tracked minutes to be ranked, so a short cameo can't pass as slow. Goalkeepers only show when picked as the position.
